KEEP UP-TO-DATE

Nov 30, 2018

On Monday, the boys U16 team hosted St. George's on our home courts. After starting slow and trailing by as much as 20-6, things turned around in the second half. A methodical, determined and outstanding effort saw the boys dominate in the second half, and they came away with a convincing 29-22 win! Peter Mayer, Thomas Griffin, and Marcelino Pichon Marquette sparked the second half offense in one of the best comebacks in St. Stephen's basketball history.

On Thursday, the boys U18 team traveled to St. George's for a rematch of their first game in October. That first game had been a narrow, 2-point victory for SSS, but this time around, the boys showed up strong and controlled the game from the opening tip. A 9-0 1st quarter ended up in a total team victory, 31-13. Led by Michael Simunec's 13 points and 13 rebounds, all players contributed to the win and it never got close!

Great job to the boys basketball teams; they now look ahead to games at AOSR on Friday, December 14.
