  1. University of California at Davis (UC Davis), June 19th - July 16th.

UC Davis students range in age from 18-22.  While their academic program focuses on "Rome as the classroom," their more general goal is to enjoy three weeks of Italo-Romano cultural immersion.

  1. The Paideia Institute's Living Latin in Rome, July 1st - July 19th.

This is a very intensive Latin study course designed for high school students.  All classes and social events are conducted in Latin. The program of study culminates with an evening of student performances.  Last summer's performances consisted of myths selected from Ovid's Metamorphoses.

It's a very enjoyable way to spend part of a summer evening.

  1. Arts and Humanities, July 22nd - August 4th.

Students also enroll in a language course, either Italian or Latin.

The 2018 elective courses will include Creative Writing and 2D/3D Studio Art. Student exhibitions and special performances will be held at the conclusion of the summer school session. A trip to Pompeii and other sites in the south of Italy is also included.

This session also includes an evening Cultural Program with events held on-site around the city of Rome, such as the opera and other musical and theatrical performances where the backdrop is Rome itself, outings to important landmarks in the city opened for special evening visits and excursions to different neighborhood and ice cream shops (gelaterie) in Rome.
