To all those in our community who observe and celebrate Thanksgiving, we wish you a pleasant and restful day with your friends and families.

Thanksgiving Day is a day to give thanks and to be grateful for the people in your life and for what life has offered you. Wikipedia refers to Thanksgiving as "a national holiday, which is celebrated in Canada, the United States, some of the Caribbean islands, and Liberia. Thanksgiving is celebrated on the second Monday of October in Canada and on the fourth Thursday of November in the United States, and around the same part of the year in other places. It began as a day of giving thanks for the blessing of the harvest and of the preceding year. Similarly named festival holidays occur in Germany and Japan."
