KEEP UP-TO-DATE

Sep 30, 2022

The Lyceum field trip programme for alumni and parents is about to start again. On Thursday 13th October at 4:30 p.m., you can join Oxford-trained archaeologist, award-winning journalist, and St Stephen’s parent Vernon Silver for a visit to the newly opened Museo dell’Arte Salvata (‘Museum for Rescued Art’), which is part of the National Museum of Rome in the Baths of Diocletian complex. We will see about 100 pieces of art that have been returned to Italy or seized from smugglers. These items will be on display for a limited amount of time before being returned to the different parts of Italy where they were stolen from. The current selection of returned artworks will be on display until 15th October 15 (so we are visiting just in time!). After that date, they will be replaced by a new series of objects.

Ticket price: 10 euros.

Max. nr. of participants: 15.

Sign up by Monday, 10th October.
