The 2018-19 school year is underway with two days of orientation for grades 9 through 12. Nearly three hundred students have been involved in a variety of events on campus as well as in and around Rome, including a citywide treasure hunt, team building activities off-campus, river rafting and orienteering in Subiaco.

Orienteering, in case you are wondering, is also referred to as “sports in the woods,” and is new to St Stephen’s students this year. It is considered a” challenging activity, which allows kids to explore hidden and unspoiled forests, as well and small villages with the aid of maps of compasses.” It essentially allows kids to discover nature using their own “steps and emotions.”

Seniors are being treated to a breakfast with faculty on the terrace on Wednesday morning, and that will be was followed by advisor meetings and classes for all students. Classes will resume their normal schedule on Thursday and Friday of this week.
